Diego Jiménez is a Licensed Acupuncturist currently serving as Clinic Director of The People's Clinic in Oakland, California. He also specializes in orthopedics and sports medicine in his private practice.
Diego's path into this work began with the history of Dr. Mutulu Shakur and Lincoln Detox, whose model of community-based, anti-carceral healing shaped his understanding of what acupuncture could do outside a conventional clinical setting. While in his second year of TCM school, he trained under Juan Cortez at On Point NYC and earned his ADS certification, carrying that lineage back to Oakland.
He now directs a detox and PTSD clinic offering the NADA five-point protocol to the West Oakland community as part of a broader practice rooted in healing justice and public safety alternatives.
